Tanznetz Niedersachsen is a network consisting of Tanzpunkt Hannover, TANZKOOP Braunschweig, and Landesverband Freie darstellende Künste Niedersachsen (LaFT). It is funded by TANZPAKT Stadt-Land-Bund for the years 2026–2028. This funding enables us to rent dance spaces for research, rehearsal, and production phases and to make them available to artists of the independent performing arts scene.

Studio Booking Criteria

The dance studios are available to the entire independent dance scene for research, rehearsal, and production phases. They can be reserved according to the following re-gional and production-related priority criteria:

Local choreographers developing a new production or preparing for an upcoming performance
Local choreographers conducting research-oriented work.
Choreographers based in Lower Saxony developing a new production or preparing for an upcoming performance.
Choreographers based in Lower Saxony conducting research-oriented work.
Choreographers based in Germany or from the international dance scene working on a production or preparing for an upcoming performance.
Choreographers based in Germany or from the international dance scene conduc-ting research-oriented work.

We are committed to a trust-based and transparent collaboration with all partners. In addition to the criteria listed above, we also consider the following aspects when re-viewing studio requests:

Respectful and fair working conditions
Future development perspectives
Consistency of previous work / established collaborations and funding partners

Important Notes

Please note that last-minute requests may not be answered in time. In case of rescheduling or cancellation, inform us as early as possible so the slot can be reassigned. Commercial use of the studios is not permitted. The studio usage concept is inspired by inter-actions in Heidelberg and has been con-tinuously developed for Lower Saxony by TANZKOOP since 2022.

We wish you a great time in the studios! :)
